Ramon Goose (https://ramongoose.co.uk/) is an incredibly talented British guitarist and vocalist known for his exciting collaborations with African artists, such as his West African Blues Project with Modou Touré and partnership with Senny Camara (both projects featuring in our programme in the past). Recently it has been the rhythms of the Caribbean drawing much of his attention, with him releasing the single ‘Porqué’ last year with the late Cuban bolero singer Nancy Maura. There he also recorded an album with the 89 year old Cuban legend Alejandro Almenares, the last remaining original troubadour of Cuba’s Trova style. Since 2023, a year in which Ramon recorded in both Havana and Santiago de Cuba, the London-based Compadres have come into being, a collaboration with Peruvian percussionist and vocalist Kieffer Santander and British drummer John Woodham. In such expert hands, expect fiery Cuban, Cumbia and Latin Blues Rock that might just get you up on your feet to dance…
There will be a licensed bar in the church. The church is near Rotherhithe Station (Windrush line) and buses C10, 381, 188, 47, P12...
