Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BooTickets ("BooTickets", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, applications, and services for creating, managing, and selling tickets for events.
1. Who we are
BooTickets is a ticketing and event management platform. We provide tools for organisers to publish events and sell tickets. We are not the organiser of events listed on the platform.
BooTickets Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17108958.
2. Accounts
To use organiser features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
3. Event organisers
Organisers are solely responsible for their events, including:
- Event descriptions and content
- Pricing, refunds, and cancellations
- Publishing a refund policy for their events and handling refund requests directly with ticket buyers
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Delivering the event as described
BooTickets does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of events listed on the platform.
4. Ticket buyers
When you purchase a ticket, you enter into a contract directly with the event organiser. BooTickets acts as a platform and payment facilitator only.
The organiser's refund policy is displayed during the checkout process. Any refund requests should be directed to the event organiser. BooTickets is not responsible for issuing refunds on behalf of organisers.
5. Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including SumUp and Stripe. BooTickets does not directly handle or store payment card details. All card data is processed securely by the relevant payment provider.
Ticket payments are taken into the organiser's own account with their chosen payment provider. BooTickets does not hold organiser funds. The provider's own processing charges are a matter between the organiser and that provider; BooTickets neither collects them nor adds to them.
BooTickets charges organisers a platform fee on sales processed through the platform, at the rate published on our pricing page and shown in the organiser dashboard. How that fee is collected depends on the payment provider:
- Where the provider supports it (currently Stripe), the fee is taken automatically at the point of sale and never reaches the organiser's account.
- Where it does not (currently SumUp), the full amount settles to the organiser and BooTickets invoices the fee separately afterwards. Invoiced fees are payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
Where tickets are refunded, the platform fee on the refunded amount is not charged.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform, including attempting to disrupt services, upload unlawful content, or infringe on the rights of others.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the platform or other users.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BooTickets shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Trade marks
BooTickets® is a registered trade mark of BooTickets Ltd. The BooTickets name, logo and other brand features are owned by BooTickets Ltd. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right or licence to use them, except as expressly permitted below.
Organisers may identify BooTickets as the ticketing platform for their events and may use BooTickets brand assets that we make available for this purpose on event pages, listings and promotional materials. Any such use must be accurate and must not imply that BooTickets organises, promotes, endorses or accepts responsibility for the event.
