Promo codes

Create a code (for example EARLY20) that gives buyers a discount at checkout:

• Percentage — e.g. 20% off.
• Fixed amount — e.g. £5 off.

A code discounts your first standard ticket tier only — every ticket bought from that tier in the order gets the discount, while other tiers and donations stay at full price. The discount is capped so an order can never go below zero.

You can also limit how many orders may use a code. The limit counts orders, not tickets: one order buying six discounted tickets uses the code once. A use is counted as soon as the order is placed, so an abandoned checkout still consumes one. Leave the limit at zero for no limit.

Codes are never shown publicly — buyers enter them at checkout, and BooTickets validates the code, dates and usage limit before applying it.

Earlybird pricing

For a time-limited lower price across a tier, use earlybird pricing instead of a code — it switches to the standard price automatically on the date you set. See Ticketing.
