Payments
With BooTickets, money from ticket sales goes straight into your own payment account — not into a BooTickets account that pays you later. You stay in control of your cash flow.
Payment providers
Connect one of the following to start taking card payments:
| Provider | Best for |
|---|---|
| Stripe (Connect) | Cards, Apple Pay / Google Pay, broad coverage |
| SumUp | Organisers already using SumUp for in-person sales |
| PayPal | Buyers who prefer paying with PayPal |
You can also record offsite payments (e.g. cash or bank transfer) for manually managed orders.
How payouts work
Because you connect your own Stripe, SumUp or PayPal account, payouts follow that provider's schedule directly to your bank — BooTickets never holds your funds.
Fees
BooTickets charges just 1% per ticket — no per-ticket fee, no monthly fee, no contract. Your payment provider charges its own processing fee separately, paid directly to them. You can choose to absorb the BooTickets fee or pass it on to the buyer. See Pricing for the full breakdown.
Refunds
Refunds are issued back through the original payment provider. See Issue a refund for the step-by-step.
Security
Card details are handled by the payment provider (Stripe, SumUp or PayPal) — BooTickets never stores card numbers. Card payments use 3-D Secure where required by the provider.
