Check in attendees

Use the BooTickets mobile app to scan tickets at the door.

Set up door staff

1. Open the event and go to its Team tab. Add each person as a Scanner — either pick someone already in your account, or invite them by email there and then.
2. They install BooTickets Scanner (App Store) and sign in with the email address you invited them on, using the password from their invite email.

Access is per event, so someone helping at one show can't scan at another unless you add them there too. You and your managers can scan any of your events without being added.

On the day

1. Open the app and select your event.
2. Point the camera at each attendee's QR code — on their phone, a printout, or a wallet pass.
3. A valid ticket is confirmed and marked as checked in.
4. If a ticket has already been scanned or isn't valid, the app flags it immediately so it can't be reused.

Tip: Tickets work offline-friendly via wallet passes, but the scanner needs a connection to validate and record check-ins.
